Our promise to the nation is to develop and implement a capacity building system that supports and improves the overall delivery of sport and recreation development in the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Apart from having our own sports programmes, we also assess the suitability of the sports programmes in line with the internationally accepted training principles and standards. The advent of this programme was informed by the need to equip sports practitioners (coaches, administrators and technical officials) with the requisite skills and competencies to help them organize their sporting activities effectively. The duration of the programme is two years. Aspiring candidates for this programme should have the following Qualifications:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">5 O Levels with a Grade C or better in English language, Mathematics and any other Science subject.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Individuals who are participating in sport will have an added advantage.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Sport administration and or coaching certificate.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Physical education specialization will be an added advantage.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Experience in sport management at club or association level.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">In exceptional circumstances special entry will be granted to those who do not have the normal entry qualifications.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text]\n\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t<div  class=\"ult_tabitemname\"  >\n\t\t\t\t[vc_column_text]<span style=\"color: #000000;\">The Sport and Recreation Commission embarked on the Executive Diploma in Sports Management (EDSM) in 2006 in partnership with Zimbabwe Institute of Management. To this end the SRC is a partner in a network of organizations that promote the development of youth leaders in sport through a volunteer exchange programme. The Youth Sport Exchange Programme (YSEP) brings together:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">SRC Zimbabwe,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Zambia,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Namibia,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">CHRISC Kenya,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Tanzania,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Uganda,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Norwegian Olympic,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Paralympic Committee,<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Confederation of Sport (NIF) Norway.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Every year Zimbabwe sends two volunteers for twelve months attachment to Norway and another two volunteers for attachment within Africa for one year.
