The Sports and Recreation Commission (SRC) is a parastatal whose purpose is to regulate and generally promote the development of sport and recreation in the country. SRC reports to the Ministry responsible for sport. The SRC\u2019s operations are guided by a strategic plan which spans from 2015- 2018.<\/span><\/p>\n

The SRC is a creation of the 1989 Presidential Commission of inquiry into the organization of sport and recreation in the country. Based on its recommendations, the SRC came into being on 1 September 1991 through an Act of Parliament Chapter 25:15 of 1991, revised in 1996.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
